Position Title Assistant Professor of Nursing (Tenure Track)
Position Summary

The School of Nursing at the University of Indianapolis is seeking applications for a tenure-track faculty position. This is a full-time, ten-month position with a start date of August 2017.

The successful candidate will provide classroom and clinical expertise primarily in the BSN, MSN and DNP programs, with faculty assignments based on teaching expertise. Preference will be given to applicants with experiential and academic expertise in health systems leadership and administration and/or nursing education and medical surgical nursing. Course instruction in hybrid and all online venues is expected, and the successful candidates may teach across curriculum levels commensurate with experience, and expertise. Service to the School of Nursing, the University, and the community, as well as participation in scholarly activities and academic advisement are required.

Required Education/Experience/Skills (Minimum Qualifications)

Qualifications: A master’s of science in nursing is required with a doctoral degree strongly preferred. A doctoral degree is required for teaching in the DNP program. Applicants must show proof of an unencumbered registered nursing license in the state of Indiana or eligibility for licensure in Indiana. Teaching experience in a school of nursing with graduate coursework preferred. A minimum of three years of previous clinical experience is required.
